Shaping Our Lives is a national user-led organisation and network of user-led groups, service users, and disabled people based in London. It is committed to inclusive involvement and specialises in the research and practice of involving diverse communities in policy, planning, and delivery of services. Shaping Our Lives maintains a directory of user-led groups across the UK, conducts research on what makes involvement meaningful, and supports organisations to genuinely involve people who face the biggest barriers. It promotes the voices of disabled people, mental health service users, older people, people with learning difficulties, and others experiencing multiple disadvantage.
