The Well Communities CIC is a peer-led Community Interest Company founded in 2012, providing recovery support across North Lancashire and Cumbria. The organisation offers free, long-term support for people facing addiction, offending, homelessness, mental health challenges, and trauma. Services include day habilitation, mutual aid support, supported recovery housing (28 units in Cumbria), therapeutic programmes, hospital and street outreach, through-the-gate prison support, and community hubs. Staff and volunteers are people who have overcome addiction themselves, using an asset-based community development approach to build confidence and long-term recovery.
