Gig Buddies

Gig Buddies is a UK project by Stay Up Late that supports people with learning disabilities and autistic people to live full social lives by drawing on their lived experience. The project matches people with learning disabilities with volunteer buddies who share similar interests, enabling them to attend gigs, events, and social activities together as equals and friends. Gig Buddies is led by people with learning disabilities, who have direct input and control over their participation, challenging the idea that disabled people should live restricted or isolated lives.
