Global - The article on the 2025 SDG report is a wake‑up call: with only 5 years left, most health-related goals are off track, and inequalities are widening. In this context, experience and community voices are no longer “nice to have” but essential to rescue the agenda. 🧠 Why experience experts matter now Experience experts and community representatives are crucial to make SDG policies reality on the ground. They bring lived knowledge from marginalized groups facing poverty, weak primary care, climate shocks and fragile social protection, ensuring that “leave no one behind” becomes more than a slogan. Their involvement can help redesign programs so they reach people in informal settlements, conflict zones and excluded communities instead of just improving averages. 🧠 From top‑down metrics to co-created solutions The paper calls for stronger data systems, resilient primary health care and equity-focused governance. This is precisely where experience experts add value: - Co-creating indicators that reflect real-life barriers, not only national averages. - Partnering in research, implementation and monitoring to test what works in real contexts. If the final five years of the SDGs are to shift from incremental change to systemic transitions, experience experts must be at the policy table as equal partners, not afterthoughts.
