UK - England just put £6.3 million behind a simple idea: Go where men are. Work with people they trust. The new Men's Health Community Fund — a partnership between DHSC, Movember, and People's Health Trust — will fund community-led projects supporting men through the moments that often go unseen: → Becoming a father for the first time → Losing a job → Retiring and losing a sense of purpose → Living with loneliness no one talks about But here's what stood out to me. The projects will be co-designed with men who have lived experience of mental health crises and suicidal thoughts. Not designed for them. Designed with them. Because three-quarters of all suicides are men. And men are still the ones least likely to walk through a clinic door. The strategy is starting to catch up with what lived experience professionals have known for years: traditional services don't reach the people who need them most. Community does. At Experience Hub, we see this every day. The people who understand these gaps — who lived through them — are exactly the ones who should be shaping the response. England is building that in. Other countries has the opportunity to do the same. What would it take to bring this kind of model elsewhere?
