For 40+ years, Douglas Gardens has served Miami-Dade with compassionate mental health services. As a Peer Specialist, you'll use your personal recovery experience to mentor, advocate, and empower others, proving that recovery is possible. 🧠 What You'll Do - Mentor individuals at our Drop-In Center - Support recovery goal-setting and Wellness Action Plans - Share your lived experience as hope and inspiration - Connect clients with community resources - Foster a welcoming, recovery-oriented environment 🧠 What You Need - 2+ years lived experience with mental health/substance use recovery - High school diploma/GED - Bilingual: English/Spanish or English/Creole required - CRPS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 12 months) - Currently living a wellness-focused lifestyle 🧠 What's Offered - From $15/hour - Health, Dental, Vision Insurance (FT) - 401(k) with matching - Professional development + 1,000+ training courses - PSLF eligible + CRPS certification reimbursement - Free parking 📍 North Miami Beach | Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Your story can change lives.
