This is an opportunity to empower individuals, foster connection, and contribute to a transformative community-based mental health service. 🧠 About the Role As a Peer Support Facilitator, you will co-deliver Service User Network (SUN) support groups, both online and face-to-face, across Surrey and North East Hampshire. SUN provides open-access peer support for individuals facing emotional difficulties, isolation, and unhelpful behavioral patterns. This role is integral to creating a safe and empowering environment for members to develop effective coping strategies and improve their relationships. 🧠 Key Responsibilities - Co-facilitate SUN support groups alongside a specialist clinician - Share your lived experience to support and inspire group members - Collaborate with peers and members to develop the service - Contribute to risk assessment and promote a culture of positive risk-taking - Participate in team supervision, business meetings, and service development initiatives - Take on leadership responsibilities on a rotational basis (e.g., outreach, reporting, member involvement) This emotionally rewarding role comes with regular supervision and ongoing support to ensure your wellbeing 🧠 About You You bring personal lived experience of mental health challenges associated with personality disorders and are confident in using your journey to inspire others. You have prior experience in a professional setting and the ability to reflect on and share your experiences appropriately within a group facilitation context 🧠 Skills & Experience - Lived experience of mental health issues related to personality disorder - Ability to guide others in taking ownership of their recovery journey - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Resilience to sustain an emotionally demanding role 🧠 Why Join The organisation is a well-established mental health charity supporting Surrey residents since 1994.
