The Netherlands - Sociaal Werk De Schans is seeking a dedicated and compassionate experience expert to join their team in the Zuidhorn area, located in Leek This role offers a meaningful opportunity to utilize your personal experiences with mental health challenges to support and empower individuals 🧠 Key Responsibilities - Offer support to individuals facing challenges such as domestic violence, poverty, caregiving, addiction, and social exclusion - Engage with community members in their social environment, conduct home visits, and foster connections - Act as a supportive and empathetic partner, helping individuals rediscover their strengths and make informed decisions - Provide information about available activities and resources, encouraging the development of social networks - Collaborate with area team professionals, evaluate support plans, and mediate between residents and service providers - Refer individuals to appropriate support services for complex issues 🧠 What They're Looking For - A completed MBO-level education with a certificate in ‘Ervaringsdeskundigheid’ or similar training (or currently pursuing such qualifications) - Prior experience as an experience expert is an advantage - Familiarity with issues related to poverty and the ability to use personal experiences professionally - Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, tact, creativity, and the ability to inspire and motivate others - A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation 🧠 What They Offer - A one-year contract with the potential for extension - A competitive salary according to CAO Sociaal Werk, scale 5 (up to €3,951/month for full-time positions, including a labor market allowance) - An individual choice budget (approx. 18% of salary) for flexibility in work-life balance - A career development budget as per CAO Sociaal Werk - Reimbursement for travel expenses with tax benefits - Access to the Tinten benefit card offering discounts on various services and activities - Supportive work environment recognized as a mantelzorg-friendly employer 🧠 Application Process Interested candidates are invited to apply by January 14, 2026.
