ReDiscover, a nonprofit community mental health center serving southeastern Jackson County, Missouri, is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist for its Peer Services program. The successful candidate will draw on personal lived experience with mental illness or substance use disorder to build rapport with clients and model recovery behaviors. Duties include connecting clients to support groups and community resources, working within an interdisciplinary team to shape treatment plans, co-facilitating support and education groups, and occasionally assisting with client transportation. Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and have completed (or be willing to complete) Missouri Credentialing Board Peer Specialist certification. Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy are also expected. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
