Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS/CYPS/CFPS) Training

Ohio has 3 state-endorsed peer certifications: CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Supporter, 18+), CYPS (Certified Youth Peer Supporter, 18-30), CFPS (Certified Family Peer Supporter, 21+, caregiver with 1+ year navigating systems). Requirements: HS diploma/GED. Training: 40 hours (virtual or in-person, monthly+) or 3 years verifiable experience. State certification exam required. Recertification every 2 years with 30 CEU hours (incl. ethics, boundaries, diversity). Background check required. Medicaid reimbursable: Yes (multiple pathways). Telehealth: Yes.
