Credential has four endorsements based on lived experience: - CRPS-A: Adult with MH/SUD lived experience, in recovery 2+ years - CRPS-F: Family member/caregiver of person with MH/SUD - CRPS-V: Veteran with MH/SUD lived experience, in recovery 2+ years - CRPS-Y: Age 18-29, significant life challenges age 14-25, in recovery 2+ years Eligibility: - High school diploma, GED, or higher - Lived experience corresponding to selected endorsement (minimum 2 years wellness/recovery) - 3 professional letters of recommendation Training Requirements (40 total hours): Core (min 28 hrs): Advocacy (4), Mentoring (6), Recovery Support (6), Cultural/Linguistic Competence (2), Motivational Interviewing (4), Vicarious Trauma/Self-Care (2), Professional Responsibility (4) Whole Health (8–16 hrs): WRAP (16 hrs), WHAM (8 hrs), or equivalent Electives (0–4 hrs): related to CRPS performance domains Certification Requirements: - 500 hours of supervised work/volunteer experience (250+ hrs with peers matching primary endorsement, within last 5 years) - 16 hours of on-the-job supervision (min 4 hrs each: Advocacy, Mentoring, Recovery Support, Professional Responsibility) - Pass the CRPS 100-item multiple-choice exam Background Check: Level 2 Background Screening required through Dept. of Children and Families. Criminal record may be an exemptible barrier. Continuing Education: 10 hours per year from FCB-recognized providers.
